 Increase Revenue

The Problem

Radio stations can’t continue operations if they can’t increase revenue consistently. Our partner WayFM needed a way to boost fundraising donations for increased station revenue.

Research commissioned by Dunham+Company indicates that a majority of those referred to as “P1” Christian radio listeners (those whose first preset station on their radio is a Christian station, marking it as their favorite) have not financially supported their favorite station. Furthermore, 51% of these P1 listeners who have not financially supported their favorite station indicated they had not thought about doing so or were not aware of the need (p. 7).

This may indicate the need for listener-supported stations to find ways throughout the year to make the case for support, showing the impact of donor support in key outcomes (particularly the lives of listeners).
